Visual BCD Editor is an advanced GUI version of Windows bcdedit utility.

It is the first GUI tool to implement full editing of Windows 7/Vista BCD store.

Visual BCD Editor implements automatic creation of Windows 7/Vista/XP/VHD loaders (since version 0.9.2).

Boot sector(Linux, Ubuntu, Mac OS X) loaders are created with one click and need additional extraction of MBR or PBR with dd utility for Windows.

New in version 0.9.3 - handling of Custom Actions (keyboard shortcuts to loaders).

The user can create and change the value of more than 130 properties of BCD objects by simple edits. Other similar utilities give access to not more than 30 properties.

All used constants, names, objects and elements are as defined by Microsoft.

Runtime requirements: .NET Framework 2.0 and Windows 7/Vista.

Accompanying Dual-boot Repair tool is part of Visual BCD package and needs .NET Framework 2.0 and Windows XP as minimum.

It can repair the MBR, partition boot records, Windows BCD store and the disk structure by simple selections and clicks. The tool offers automatic one-click dual-boot repair for non-booting Windows 7/Vista in the scenario of a dual or multi-boot system with Windows 7/Vista/XP.
